Badredine Bouanani confirmed
Rangers have officially signed Badredine Bouanani from Stuttgart on loan.
The 21-year-old Algerian winger joins the Gers for the season, with Rangers holding an €18 million option to make the deal permanent.
He takes the number 26 shirt from Ben Davies, who departed in June.

Timbers justify Kelsy sale
Portland Timbers General Manager Ned Grabavoy has spoken to fans of the MLS club about their sale of Kevin Kelsy to Rangers.
“While these decisions are always difficult, this was an opportunity that made sense for all involved. The return allows us to be aggressive over the next six to 12 months and acquire new young emerging talent, and it is a step in Kevin’s career with the ambition to reach the highest level,” he said.
“This is further testimony to our club’s ability to provide opportunities and commit to supporting the development of these young players on and off the field. We wish Kevin great success, and look forward to watching his progress from afar.”

Kelsy takes Nsiala number
Kevin Kelsy is Rangers' new number 19, taking the shirt from Clinton Nsiala. The French defender is out of Derek McInnes' plans and is expected to leave.
Pafos, as first reported on Inside Ibrox, are the leading destination for the 22-year-old former AC Milan centre-back.

Rangers have confirmed the signing of Kevin Kelsy from Portland Timbers.
The 22-year-old Venezuelan striker arrives in a deal worth around £9.5m, becoming one of the club’s biggest-ever signings.

Besiktas shut shop
Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas have confirmed via Turkish media channels they will be conducting no futher business.
They will not be signing Nicolas Raskin despite making both loan-to-buy and €12 million offers for the Belgian. Rangers will also not be bringing Vaclav Cerny back to Ibrox.

Stuttgart boss confirms Bouanani departure
Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeneß has all but confirmed Badredine Bouanani's Rangers move, with the winger closing in on his deadline-day switch to Ibrox.
Hoeneß told BILD: “It’s important for the players to have the prospect of playing. I can’t hide the fact that I hope the transfer works out for Bad. It would be very important for him to get regular playing time and develop there.”

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi could be on the move again, with Crystal Palace boss Pierre Sage saying: “It’s important for him to play. I wish him to find a solution.”
The French boss however said that the Eagles "don’t know for the moment" where he will end up.
The winger was a Rangers target for ex-Gers boss Russell Martin on last season’s deadline day, but eventually joined Caykur Rizespor on loan despite the Ibrox side reported to be willing to bid up to £10 million.

Badredine Bouanani has been dubbed a Riyad “Mahrez regen” by Algerian football journalist Dean Ammi as he edges in on completing his move to Rangers.
Ammi described the winger as a “huge upgrade on Gassama” and predicted that the 21-year-old will “light up Ibrox”.
He also referenced Rangers’ history with Algerian stars, saying the days of watching “Magic” Bougherra at Old Firm games are back.

Derek Cornelius set for Saudi switch after Gers exile
Derek Cornelius could be set for a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia following a tumultuous year at Ibrox on loan.
The former Rangers defender has returned to Marseille following his loan spell at Ibrox and is attracting interest from Saudi side Al-Ettifaq, formerly managed by Steven Gerrard, with the Saudi window still open.
Cornelius’ Rangers spell ended sourly after his November injury. Despite returning to fitness and representing Canada, before and during the World Cup, he never made another appearance for Rangers and had a reported fallout with Danny Rohl, eventually training away from the first team.

Bojan Miovski agent sends cryptic message
Tomovski wrote: “Bojan Miovski of Rangers Was part of very important away win against Falkirk Falkirk - Rangers 1:2”
It could be viewed as a subtle indication that Miovski is staying and ready to contribute, but equally puts his involvement in front of any clubs still monitoring him on deadline day.
Miovski came on as a late substitute in the match, chosen ahead of Ryan Naderi to come on by Derek McInnes.

Bajraktarevic hopes fading
Rangers’ hopes of completing a deadline-day move for PSV winger Esmir Bajraktarevic appear to have faded, despite the Ibrox club showing genuine interest in the player.
Dutch PSV reporter Rik Elfrink has provided an update on the situation, confirming that Rangers had been looking at the 21-year-old but suggesting there is now simply not enough time remaining to get a deal over the line.
Elfrink said: “Rangers FC has indeed shown interest in PSV forward Bajraktarevic, but the time to still realise a (loan) transfer for the PSV player now is too short.”
Bajraktarevic had emerged as another potential option for Rangers as Derek McInnes looked to add further attacking quality before the Scottish transfer deadline.
The Bosnian international was being considered alongside Stuttgart winger Badredine Bouanani, with Rangers understood to have conducted significant work on the PSV player.
However, with the deadline approaching, it now appears increasingly unlikely that Rangers will be able to complete a move for Bajraktarevic.
The update comes after Rangers completed the signing of Kevin Kelsy from Portland Timbers, while Bouanani remains close to joining on loan. The announcement for Kelsy is imminent.
McInnes had hinted that there could be another addition after Kelsy, but the latest development suggests Bajraktarevic will not be that player.
Rangers therefore appear to have focused their full attention on getting the Bouanani deal completed, with the Algerian winger undergoing his medical ahead of a proposed loan move.

First Algerian since Bougherra set to arrive at Ibrox
Rangers are still working on a potential move for Stuttgart winger Badredine Bouanani.
Derek McInnes hinted after the Falkirk victory that the club could have another piece of business to complete when he spoke to sporting director Jim Gillespie.
"There may be one other little thing that we'll still pick up on when I come off the coach tonight and speak to Jim potentially," he said.
That "little thing" now appears to be Bouanani, with the Algerian winger understood to be close to joining Rangers on loan from Stuttgart, with an option to buy reportedly worth €18 million.
Bouanani has already travelled to Scotland and is undergoing his medical ahead of the proposed move, with the deal needing to be completed before the Scottish deadline.
If the deal is completed, Bouanani will become only the third Algerian player to represent Rangers, following in the footsteps of two hugely popular former Gers stars in Brahim Hemdani and Madjid Bougherra.
Hemdani could be named the new boss of the Algerian national team.
Hemdani spent four seasons at Ibrox between 2005 and 2009, winning four major trophies and reaching the UEFA Cup final in 2008.
Bougherra arrived in 2008 and went on to become a key member of Walter Smith's side, winning six trophies during his Rangers career before departing in 2011.
Interestingly, Hemdani and Bougherra were Rangers teammates and Algeria internationals together.
Bouanani would therefore become the first Algerian to pull on the famous royal blue since Bougherra's departure in 2011.
Salim Kerkar played under Smith and Ally McCoist from 2010 until 2012, he was born in France to Algerian parents but never switched allegiences or gained an international call up.
The winger is also a familiar face to Rangers supporters. He previously played for Nice and scored against Philippe Clement's Rangers during the 4-1 Europa League victory at Ibrox in 2024.
He has since moved to Stuttgart but could now return to Scotland in a deal which would give Rangers the option to make the move permanent.
The €18m figure would represent a major potential investment and could become a Scottish record transfer fee if Rangers eventually decide to activate the clause.

Kelsy deal done
Rangers have completed the signing of Kevin Kelsy from Portland Timbers as Derek McInnes' side enters the final hours of the Scottish transfer window with further business still possible.
The Venezuelan striker has been in the works for some time after being identified as the replacement for Youssef Chermiti, who suffered an ACL injury against Hibs and is expected to remain sidelined until after the New Year at the earliest.
Rangers fans have been waiting for official confirmation of Kelsy's arrival, but MLS insider Tom Bogert has moved to reassure supporters that there is no need for concern over the deal.
Bogert revealed that the transfer is now done, with the final delay understood to have been connected to the player receiving a share of the transfer fee.
Speaking to Soccerwise HQ, Bogert said: "Kevin Kelsy to Rangers is finally done I am told.
"It took a little bit here at the end. He travelled to Europe several days ago. The Scottish window is open until tomorrow night. That deal is done. £9.5million plus add-ons. A huge deal for the Portland Timbers."
The figure would make Kelsy one of the biggest signings in Rangers' history, with the 22-year-old now set to provide another option to McInnes in the forward areas.
Bogert explained that MLS collective bargaining rules state players are entitled to 10 percent of transfer fees, with the issue understood to have contributed to the delay in Kelsy's move.
He added that the same issue had held up other MLS transfers this summer but stressed that the Rangers deal was ultimately getting done.
McInnes had already made clear that Rangers had been working on the Kelsy deal for several weeks.
The Rangers boss said: "If we can get Kevin and add to our attacking threats, obviously with Youssef's injury, it's been nearly a month since he got injured, we've been looking for that one, and thankfully we've got him.
"I don't anticipate any more, certainly, and I'm not convinced there'll be any more ins other than the boy you mentioned.”
However, events have moved quickly in the final hours.
Bouanani move gathers pace

Bajraktarevic another option
Bouanani may not be the only winger Rangers have been working on. Esmir Bajraktarevic is another name on the club's deadline-day radar, with Rangers in discussions with PSV over the 21-year-old US-born Bosnian international.
Daily Record reporter Scott Burns has reported that Bajraktarevic is another option being considered by the Ibrox club.
The winger joined PSV from New England Revolution in January 2025 and has a contract with the Dutch club until 2029.
Rangers' recruitment team have conducted extensive work on the player, with Dan Purdy understood to have been closely involved in the process.
Bajraktarevic has also attracted interest from elsewhere, meaning any Rangers move would need to progress quickly.
Rik Elfrink has reported that the player “could still leave” PSV, although Rangers face competition for his signature.
No Cerny return
One player who will not be returning to Ibrox is Vaclav Cerny. Rangers had previously been linked with another move for the Czech winger following his spell at the club, but a deal with Besiktas is not expected to materialise.
Cerny's salary and his reluctance to leave Turkey, where he benefits from the country's tax arrangements, have effectively ended the possibility of a return.
That leaves McInnes looking at other options as he attempts to strengthen his wide areas.
Aasgaard follows Barron and Cameron out
There has also been movement in the opposite direction.
Thelo Aasgaard has joined Anderlecht on loan with a €6 million purchase clause, following Connor Barron and Lyall Cameron out of the Rangers squad on loan.
He had also been linked with a move to Bodo/Glimt.
Aasgaard will spend the season in Belgium and joins former Rangers teammate Oliver Antman, who also left Ibrox earlier in the summer.
Barron has completed his move to Middlesbrough, while Cameron has joined Dundee United for the season.
The three departures have helped create further room in McInnes' squad.
Nsiala set for Pafos move
Clinton Nsiala is also expected to leave Rangers before the deadline.
The defender is set to join Cypriot side Pafos on loan, where he would link up with former Brazil and Chelsea defender David Luiz.
There has also been interest from Turkish side Bursaspor, but the Pafos move is currently the most likely.
McCausland and Souttar available
Ross McCausland remains available for a loan move, with Bursaspor among the clubs showing interest in the winger for a loan move.
John Souttar is another player who could leave Ibrox before the Scottish deadline.
There has been interest from MLS clubs, while a number of Scottish Premiership sides could also look to bring the Scotland international in on loan.
Munn loan situation
Goalkeeper Mason Munn is also available for a loan move.
The Northern Irish goalkeeper has fallen down the pecking order following the arrival of Ivor Pandur and currently sits behind Pandur, Liam Kelly and teenage goalkeeper Rydnn McGuire.
Munn spent time on loan with Dunfermline and Forfar last season, but neither spell developed as hoped.
A further temporary move would give him the opportunity to gain regular first-team football.
Miovski may stay
Bojan Miovski, meanwhile, looks increasingly likely to remain at Rangers. There had been potential routes out of Ibrox involving Feyenoord, LASK and Genclerbirligi, but each avenue has now faded.
The striker is therefore expected to remain part of McInnes' squad beyond the deadline unless there is a late swoop from Greece or another nation with a longer window.
Cifuentes remains until January
Jose Cifuentes is another player who will stay at Rangers, at least until the January window.
The midfielder is continuing his recovery from surgery following his loan spell with Toronto FC and is not expected to move on before the end of the current window.
Raskin stays after Besiktas drama
Nicolas Raskin's future has also taken another dramatic turn.
Rangers have rejected a €12 million offer from Besiktas after the Ibrox club pulled out of a proposed loan deal with an option-to-buy.
The Belgian midfielder had been at the centre of significant transfer speculation in recent days, with Besiktas attempting to secure his services.
However, Rangers have now rejected the latest proposal and Raskin looks increasingly likely to remain at Ibrox after returning to the team against Falkirk following two missed matchday squads against Jablonec and Aberdeen.
McInnes had previously made clear that he would be happy to keep the midfielder.
"Nico has been first class," the Rangers boss said.
"Since he's come back from the World Cup, he's been good as gold, trained brilliantly.
"There has been a lot of chat with potential interest and a lot of conversation had with the club with prospective buyers.
"But until an offer comes in that the club needs to consider, then Nico just has to knuckle down and train.
"He's been brilliant, and I have no doubts if the window closes and Nico is still a Rangers player, then he will give brilliant service as he has previously."
That is now looking increasingly likely.
Rangers' final hours
The picture at Ibrox has therefore changed considerably from McInnes' initial expectation that Kelsy would be the club's final signing.
Kelsy's arrival is now done, with the Portland Timbers receiving around £9.5m plus add-ons.
Bouanani is closing in on a loan move with an €18m purchase option, while Bajraktarevic remains another possibility as Rangers assess their final attacking move.
At the same time, Rangers are working to find destinations for several players who have fallen outside McInnes' immediate plans.
The Scottish transfer window closes at 5pm on Thursday, meaning the next few hours could still bring further movement at Ibrox.
What appeared set to be a relatively quiet deadline day has suddenly become anything but.
