Derek McInnes has revealed Rangers are still working to complete another signing before the transfer window closes, while admitting there could also be movement in the opposite direction over the next 24 to 48 hours.
The Rangers manager, speaking to Sky Sports, confirmed that the club remains focused on bringing in a striker but suggested the incoming business is likely to be limited to one more addition.
That striker is Kevin Kelsy, who is set to be confirmed as a Rangers player within the next day. However, it is unclear if McInnes is referencing one additional player or Kelsy alone, as the boss has numerously called for additional wide options.
“We're still working hard to get one in at the minute. We're getting closer on that one, but we believe it's only going to be the one in,” McInnes said.
Rangers have already conducted significant business during the summer window, with McInnes acknowledging that the club's recruitment operation has delivered much of what was required earlier in the window.

Rangers could see players leave
While the focus has largely been on who could arrive at Ibrox, McInnes also admitted that several conversations have taken place regarding potential departures.
“On players out, there's been a few conversations had,” he said.
“There may well be things develop over the next 24-48 hours on that front.”
That could prove significant given the size of the current Rangers squad, with several players facing uncertainty over their roles heading into the season.
Connor Barron, for example, has rejected a potential loan move to Hannover 96 and is understood to be keen to remain at Ibrox and fight for his place while Lyall Cameron looks set for a loan move to Dundee United.
Clinton Nsiala, Ross McCausland and Bojan Miovski are all also set for exits as is John Souttar.
McInnes grateful for Rangers recruitment
The Rangers boss also reflected on the amount of business already completed by the club this summer.
McInnes stressed that the final days of a transfer window are naturally busy across the game, with clubs attempting to address their remaining requirements.
“I think most clubs will be seeing and trying to do the last couple of days' business, trying to get a couple of things in that they need,” he said. “So we're no different to that.”
“The club's done a lot of business early on.
“Every manager doesn't always get exactly what they want. But you've got to be grateful at times for what you do get.”
