Rangers have joined Fenerbahce, Ajax and Lyon in requesting updated information on Girona winger Min-Su Kim as the Ibrox club continues to assess attacking options.

The 20-year-old South Korean is attracting interest from a number of clubs this summer after spending last season on loan at FC Andorra.

Kim remains under contract with Girona until 2027, but his future at the Spanish club is uncertain and he could be available for a move before the transfer window closes.

Rangers have now requested updated information on the winger's situation as their recruitment department continues to examine potential options in the attacking areas.

Kim's profile is understood to have attracted interest because of his versatility and ability to operate in wide positions for Derek McInnes.

His loan spell at Andorra provided the youngster with further senior experience, and Girona could now consider allowing him to leave on either a temporary or permanent basis.

However, there is currently no indication that Rangers have made an offer for Kim, with the club's interest at the information-gathering stage.

Driouech move still on course

Rangers' interest in Kim comes as the club closes in on the arrival of Couhaib Driouech from PSV.

Driouech has already completed his Rangers medical after undergoing two days of tests in the UK and is expected to attend tonight’s Europa League clash with Jagiellonia.

Driouech is expected to become another significant attacking addition for McInnes, with the deal understood to be worth around £7 million.

Ghedjemis interest cools

Rangers have also explored other options in the wide areas, but interest in Fares Ghedjemis has cooled due to the asking price involved.

The club have assessed the market extensively as they look to provide McInnes with greater depth and competition in the attacking positions.

That means Kim could remain a player of interest even with Driouech's imminent arrival, particularly given the uncertainty surrounding several areas of the Rangers squad.

However, the Girona youngster is currently one of several names being monitored rather than an imminent signing.

Rangers' recruitment strategy has involved assessing multiple profiles before deciding which deals offer the best combination of quality, value and squad fit.

Kim's contract situation at Girona means there could be an opportunity for the Ibrox club if they decide to progress their interest, but further work would be required before any move becomes concrete.

The latest development is that Rangers have requested updated information on Kim, joining Fenerbahce, Ajax and Lyon in keeping tabs on the South Korean.

With Driouech's move approaching completion and Ghedjemis no longer considered as strongly due to the financial demands, Rangers continue to explore the market for further attacking additions.
