Couhaib Driouech has successfully completed his Rangers medical, with an official announcement of his move from PSV Eindhoven now imminent.
The 24-year-old winger travelled to Glasgow earlier this week to complete the final stages of his transfer after Rangers reached an agreement with PSV and after two days of medical testing, the deal has entered it’s end game.
The deal is understood to be worth around £7 million, with reports from the Netherlands putting the overall agreement at approximately €8m. Driouech is expected to sign a four-year contract at Ibrox.
Driouech's arrival will provide Derek McInnes with another attacking option as Rangers look to strengthen their squad following a difficult start to the campaign.
The Moroccan winger joined PSV from Excelsior in 2024 and made 61 appearances for the Dutch club, scoring 12 goals. He also made an impact in the UEFA Champions' League last season, including scoring twice as PSV defeated Liverpool at Anfield.
He will not be able to help Rangers in their Europa League second leg against Jagiellonia Bialystok however, as he is unable to be registered at this stage.
Mohamed Diomande departs Ibrox
The transfer comes as Rangers have also completed the sale of Mohamed Diomande to Turkish side Corum FK.
Diomande, who initially joined Rangers from FC Nordsjaelland in January 2024 before making the move permanent, has now brought his two-and-a-half-year spell at Ibrox to an end.
The midfielder has moved for an initial fee of around £4.5 million, with the deal potentially rising to approximately £6 million through add-ons.
His departure represents a small profit on the reported £4.3m Rangers paid to make his original loan move permanent.
With Driouech now through his medical and Diomande officially departing, Rangers are expected to confirm the winger's arrival imminently.
Derek McInnes targets striker
The two deals represent another significant piece of transfer business for McInnes, with Rangers continuing to reshape the squad before the transfer window closes.
McInnes is also in the market for another centre forward after confirming Youssef Chermiti would miss a "substantial period" with an ACL injury picked up early on during Sunday's home defeat to Hibernian at Ibrox,
Early links have suggested Joel Geldhart, Ryan One and Rory Wilson as potential targets.
