Rangers have reportedly agreed a deal in principle with PSV for Moroccan winger Couhaib Driouech.
According to Dutch outlet SoccerNews, Rangers are expected to pay around €8.5 million (£7.3m) for the 24-year-old winger after stepping up their pursuit in recent days.
The report claims Rangers initially made an offer worth approximately €7.5m for Driouech last week, but that proposal was rejected by PSV, who were initially seeking between €8m and €8.5m for the attacker.
Rangers subsequently returned with an improved proposal and have now moved significantly closer to securing the transfer.
Driouech chooses Ibrox move
Driouech had attracted interest from elsewhere, with Celta Vigo also making an approach for the PSV player. The Spanish side were reportedly in a strong position at one stage, with the Moroccan initially favouring a move to La Liga.
However, Rangers are understood to have convinced Driouech with their plans for him and the opportunities available at Ibrox.
The winger is now said to have agreed terms in principle with Rangers, although the transfer is not yet complete.
A medical remains to be undertaken, while the final contractual details must also be concluded before Driouech can officially become a Rangers player.
Should those stages be completed without issue, he is expected to sign a multi-year contract in Glasgow.
Driouech joined PSV from Excelsior in 2024 and has made 61 appearances for the Dutch club across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists.
His arrival would represent another significant investment by Rangers as Derek McInnes continues to reshape his squad.
The transfer would also add another attacking option to a Rangers squad which has already undergone substantial change during the summer window.
Rangers have taken just one point from their opening two Scottish Premiership games with McInnes noting that he needs extra quality in attack.
Ghedjemis interest
Rangers have also been linked with Frosinone winger Fares Ghedjemis in recent days.
Foot Mercato reported that Rangers and Celtic had both seen offers of around €10m rejected for the 23-year-old, with Frosinone now demanding €20m.
Ghedjemis enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, scoring 15 goals in 37 appearances as Frosinone secured promotion to Serie A.
However, the Italian club's €20m valuation is understood to have deterred Rangers.
That makes the potential Driouech agreement particularly significant, with Rangers seemingly prepared to invest heavily in their wide attacking options but unwilling to meet Frosinone's asking price for Ghedjemis.
