Rangers are among the clubs showing an interest in Sheffield United striker Ryan One, although the Championship side are determined to keep hold of one of their brightest young talents this summer.
The 20-year-old has attracted admirers following his emergence at Bramall Lane, with Russell Martin’s Leicester City also monitoring his situation ahead of the new campaign.
Interest has also come from Scotland, where Rangers are understood to be keeping tabs on the forward as Derek McInnes continues to assess opportunities to strengthen his attacking options.

Sheffield United hold firm on One valuation
However, any move appears difficult at this stage.
Sheffield United do not wish to sell One during the current transfer window and it would take a significant offer before they would even consider entering negotiations.
The striker also has three years remaining on his current contract, leaving the Blades in a strong negotiating position.

Rangers striking department
Rangers also currently have five recognised centre-forwards at the club.
Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski joined the club last summer, with Ryan Naderi joining in January. Lawrence Shankland swapped Hearts for Rangers earlier this summer.
Fifth-choice striker Danilo is set to join Botafogo on a loan-to-buy deal which would clear the way for a move for One, with McInnes set to play two up top this season.

One is no stranger to Scottish football.
The Glasgow-born forward came through the youth ranks at Hamilton Academical, where he established himself as one of the country's brightest attacking prospects before securing a move to Sheffield United in 2023.
During his breakthrough at Hamilton, One was previously linked with Celtic before opting to continue his development in England, a decision that has since paid dividends as he has progressed through Sheffield United's ranks.
Comfortable playing as a central striker or in wider attacking roles, One's pace, intelligent movement and willingness to run in behind defences have made him one of the most highly rated young forwards at Bramall Lane.
Whether Rangers choose to test Sheffield United's resolve remains to be seen.

Russell Martin to battle Rangers
With Leicester City also in the race and Sheffield United making it clear they have no desire to cash in, any deal would require a substantial financial commitment that could prove difficult this summer.
That could leave Rangers monitoring the situation while assessing alternative attacking targets during the remainder of the transfer window.
At present Sheffield United remain confident One will stay at Bramall Lane, but continued interest from both England and Scotland suggests the former Hamilton prospect will remain a player to watch over the coming weeks.
