Rangers have been active in the transfer market so far this year, following the takeover by American investors and the appointment of new head coach Russell Martin.
Ten new players have arrived, including Spurs wonderkid Mikey Moore, who joined earlier today on a season-long loan deal. Another promising prospect, James Reid, has also signed permanently from Queen’s Park.
Eight players have departed the club, including first-teamers Ianis Hagi, Leon Balogun, Tom Lawrence, Adam Devine, Robin Propper, and Ross McCausland, who today joined Balogun and former Rangers defender Conor Goldson at Cypriot club Aris Limassol.
However, Rangers are far from finished in the transfer market and have been linked with another exciting young attacking option today.
English transfer correspondent Pete O'Rourke reported that the Ibrox side are interested in 23-year-old Leeds midfielder Joe Gelhardt.

Gelhardt is out of favour at Leeds, part of the same ownership group as Rangers, and has been linked with a permanent switch North of the border.
The Scouse attacker initially broke through at Wigan Athletic, former club of Rangers captain James Tavernier, in 2018, making his debut at just 16 in an EFL Cup match against Rotherham.
He went on to make 21 appearances for the Latics, scoring his first senior goal in a draw with Birmingham in 2019.

Gelhardt then made the switch to Leeds United in 2020 for a fee of around £1 million. After a year with their second string, he broke into the first team in 2021 and has gone on to make over 50 appearances for the Whites.
However, he fell out of favour under Daniel Farke, featuring just three times in all competitions during Leeds’ Championship-winning campaign last season.
He spent the latter half of the campaign on loan at Hull City, where he scored five goals in 20 appearances.
Gelhardt is a player who burst onto the scene with bags of potential but has since lost his way. His output has been inconsistent, but with the new recruitment strategy led by Kevin Thelwell and Dan Purdy, Rangers fans must place some trust in the process.
Will Russell Martin be the man to unlock his potential? He certainly has the coaching ability to do so, and sometimes, all a player needs is the right system to thrive.
