Rangers return to action this weekend with an Ibrox friendly match against an English opposition.
EFL Championship side Middlesbrough make the journey north of the border this Saturday, July 26 to take on Russell Martin’s side.
The North Yorkshire based side, managed by former Luton Town boss Rob Edwards provide opposition in a strangely placed friendly, in between the two legs of a UEFA Champions League qualifying tie against Greek side Panathinaikos.

Rangers were victorious on Tuesday winning their home leg 2-0 thanks to goals from Findlay Curtis and Djeidi Gassama before travelling to Athens for the return leg next Wednesday.
For Saturday’s match we can expect a changed team, with those still short of fitness like Gassama, Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers set to feature.

Team news
Rangers remain without the long-term injured Dujon Sterling, along with Ridvan Yilmaz and Rabbi Matondo, new signing Thelo Aasgaard remains a doubt after missing the first leg on Tuesday.
Robin Propper will also be absent as he looks set to complete his move back to FC Twente this weekend, as is Mason Munn who is set to join Dunfermline on a loan deal.
Leon King, Clinton Nsiala, Jose Cifuentes, Ross McCausland and Ben Davies are all unlikely to be involved and are training separately from the main group at the training centre after being made surplus to requirements.
King however, is still in the European squad and could feature here to keep his fitness up in case he is required in Greece if any defensive injuries occur beforehand.
Former Rangers defender George Edmundson is unavailable for the away side due to injury.
Also missing for Boro due to injuries are Irish midfielder Finn Azaz but long-term absentee Darragh Lenihan, out since September 2023 could feature.
Alex Bangura and one-time Celtic target Riley McGree remain doubts after going off with knocks in their friendly against Bradford City.
