Paris Saint-Germain ended their 55-year long European Cup odyssey on Saturday night by winning European football's greatest prize- the UEFA Champions League by thrashing Italian side Inter Milan 5-0 in a record breaking score line on the biggest stage.

On the scoresheet were French youngsters Désiré Doué and Senny Mayulu, combining to score three of PSG's five final goals as the club emphasize their shift away from a Galacticos model to a revolution of young, home grown talent.

However, despite their massive array of young French talent, they are still one of Europe and the World's richest clubs, and can go and sign pretty much whomever they please. Therefore some of these talented young Frenchmen will unfortunately not make it at the Parisians and need to look for regular first team football elsewhere.

One such player is Oumar Camara, an 18-year-old French-Malian winger who captains PSG's under 19's squad in the UEFA Youth League and the Championnat National U19.

With his contract expiring in the French capital he is on the lookout for a new club and reports from French football journalist Fabrice Hawkins suggest that his new club will be Rangers.

Within his 27 matches this year he has scored 11 goals and chipped in with 4 assists, showing his creative qualities, if only at youth level. The potential clearly is there.

Hawkins has suggested that he has agreed a pre-contract agreement to head to Scotland with Rangers and will join up with the squad for pre-season.

There has however, been no official announcement from the club on this as we continue our process of appointing a new Head Coach after last week's momentous takeover.

He would be an ideal candidate for our player trading model which will hopefully finally come to the surface this campaign after dying of following the sales of Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey in 2022.

He would be linking up with fellow French youth international Clinton Nsiala should he make the move to Ibrox and would probably be featured in a similar fringe role to start off with at Ibrox, with opportunities to impress throughout the campaign and on the training pitch.

Rangers will need to complete a massive amount of business this summer, but with £20m already promised from the new board, the money is there, will we see the first percentage of it spent on the Frenchman, who will require a cross-border compensation fee due to his age?
