The new era at Rangers is already making its mark, and it’s starting at The Rangers Training Centre.

Sources inside the club have told Inside Ibrox that work is already well underway on much-needed improvements to the training ground, with funding from the recent takeover being directed straight into modernising the facilities even before the official announcement on Friday.

Let’s be honest, parts of the training base, just like our beautiful stadium, have been showing their age for a while now. Some changes were made back when Steven Gerrard was manager, but those close to the club say this time it’s different.

A source told us: “The training ground needed it, some of it’s been so dated for a while.

“They changed it a bit when Gerrard was here, but now with the takeover money, there’s proper improvements being done.

“A lot of stuff is already happening.”

This is one of the first signs that the new leadership under Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises’ Paraag Marathe aren’t wasting any time. While a Head Coach announcement is expected next week, the wheels are clearly in motion behind the scenes.

It’s a welcome step forward. If we want to raise standards and push back to the top both domestically and in Europe, the foundations must be right, and that starts with the best possible facilities for the players and for the staff as well as the women’s and various youth teams at all levels who are housed at the facility built at the turn of the century.

The improvements show intent, ambition, and a clear signal that this new era isn’t just talk. The famous Glasgow Rangers are building for the future, and it starts now.
