Rangers have confirmed co-operative agreements with three lower-league Scottish clubs, Raith Rovers, Alloa Athletic, and Stirling Albion, to aid the development of future Ibrox stars.
This follows a new Scottish FA initiative allowing players aged 16-21, eligible for Scotland youth teams, to move between their parent club and a lower-league side throughout the season to gain more playing time.
Meanwhile, Rangers’ Under-19s will compete in the nine-team CAS Elite Under-19 League, playing home fixtures at the Rangers Training Centre.
Matches will take place on Mondays to balance youth exposure with senior weekend games.
The Under-19s will also take part in the KDM Evolution Trophy, Glasgow Cup, and, if the first team qualifies, the UEFA Youth League.
The Under-17s will compete in the CAS Elite Under-17 League and League Cup, with both age groups also involved in the Scottish Youth Cup. Additionally, both sides will participate in international tournaments and challenge matches across Europe.
Rangers make under-the-radar signing from Glasgow rivals.

Young talent joins Rangers after being spotted at Ibrox
Sporting Director Kevin Thelwell commented on the club website: “These agreements with Raith, Alloa, and Stirling give us greater flexibility to develop our youngsters by matching them to the right competitive level.
“Josh Gentles’ successful loan at Alloa last season exemplifies the benefits. Alongside our academy teams’ extensive competition schedule, this structure supports the long-term aim of producing first-team-ready players.”
The arrangement allows young players to gain experience at clubs competing across the SPFL’s three lower leagues, Championship, League 1, and League 2, depending on their development needs.
No moves have been made yet, but transfers are expected soon.
