Rangers fans were excited earlier today as a potential new signing was seen wandering the halls of Ibrox.

Being escorted into the media suite of the stadium, the mystery man was captured by supporters attending a stadium tour.

The rumour mill online was desperately searching for information on who the new man could be, with Rangers linked to defenders Nobel Mendy and Kassoum Ouattara from Real Betis and Monaco.

The truth however is that Rangers have secured a young talent for the future.

Teenager David Odunukan posted on his own social media page shortly after that he had joined Rangers on a youth contract.

The young defender has joined up with the Gers youth sides after impressing this week on a trial.

A standout for his school team, being a pupil of a South Lanarkshire school where his footballing exploits have been noted numerous times on their social media pages, the Gers have swooped to capture a local talent for the future.

He is expected to join the clubs under 15’s age group and push for a place in older age groups throughout his debut campaign with the club.

The teenager is the second youth prospect to join the club this summer, following the capture of 16-year-old defender from Glasgow rivals Queen’s Park earlier this summer window.

Rangers have also strengthened their first team, with ten new arrivals joining the Russell Martin revolution at Ibrox, backed by the clubs takeover by a San Francisco 49ers backed consortium.
