Rangers look set to lose another out-of-favour player this week, with midfielder Jose Cifuentes preparing to make a move to Turkey.
The club has informed a number of first-team players that they are surplus to requirements and must find new clubs if they wish to continue playing first team football this year.
That group includes exiled flops Ridvan Yilmaz, Ben Davies, Rabbi Matondo and Clinton Nsiala, along with youngsters Robbie Fraser and Leon King, who have both failed to make the grade at Ibrox.
Robin Propper and Ross McCausland were initially part of that group but have since moved on.

The most notable name now facing the exit door is Cifuentes, who has been linked with a move to Eurasia.
The 26-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder joined Rangers in the summer of 2023 under Michael Beale, signing from MLS side Los Angeles FC.
His time at Ibrox got off to a poor start. He made 20 appearances, only nine of which came in the league, before being shipped out on loan to Brazilian side Cruzeiro in January 2024.
He then spent last season in Greece with Aris Thessaloniki.
Aris held an option to sign the former Universidad Católica del Ecuador man permanently but attempted to renegotiate the agreed fee. In the end, they failed to reach terms with Rangers.
Cifuentes has been linked with moves to the USA, Brazil, Colombia and a return to Greece this window, but it now appears a new destination has been found.
Turkish second-tier side Pendikspor are understood to have secured his signature in a permanent move.
While the fee remains undisclosed, it is not expected to be significant. The new Ibrox hierarchy, including Sporting Director Kevin Thelwell, are focused on trimming the wage bill and cutting a bloated squad.
Former club LAFC were also rumoured to be interested in bringing Cifuentes back to the MLS but have yet to submit a concrete offer.
The midfielder was absent from training today with the club’s separated group, reportedly due to a mystery “injury”, a development that further suggests his departure is imminent.
Pendikspor are a familiar name in Rangers-related transfer news. Former Ibrox winger Scott Wright held talks with the club several times during the summer of 2023 but ultimately joined English side Birmingham City the following year.
Wright was said to be unimpressed by Pendikspor during his visit, feeling misled by some of their promises. Whether Cifuentes will share the same concerns remains to be seen.
Also expected to depart for Turkey is Ridvan Yilmaz, who appears set to rejoin former club Besiktas following comments from their club president.
With Rangers continuing their summer clear out, Cifuentes’ exit appears all but confirmed.
As he prepares for a potential fresh start in Turkey, attention will now turn to who follows him out the door, with Matondo, Davies and others still expected to move on before the window closes.
