Defender Olwethu Makhanya has received a significant boost ahead of Rangers' Europa League qualifier against Jagiellonia Bialystok after securing the Polish visa required for Thursday's trip.
The update was revealed by Dr Zubir Ahmed MP, who posted a photograph alongside Rangers' new centre back and confirmed he had assisted in obtaining the documentation in time for the fixture.
Writing on social media, Ahmed said: "Great to be able to help new Rangers FC signing Olwethu Makhanya get his last-minute Polish visa for Thursday's Europa League game in Bialystok.
"Whether you're big or small, if you're part of the Glasgow South West crew, I will always try to help."
The timing is a welcome boost for Rangers after completing Makhanya's move from MLS side Philadelphia Union earlier this week.
The 22-year-old signed an initial four-year contract at Ibrox, with the option of a further year, becoming Derek McInnes' eighth signing of the summer.
Having now received the necessary travel documentation, Makhanya is expected to be available for selection as Rangers prepare for their European assignment in Poland.
This is an extra timely boost with Atalanta loanee Ben Godfrey ruled out for four weeks after a debut injury in the Gers league opening draw with Dundee United at Tannadice on Friday evening.

Rangers look to make last minute Yokota addition
The Ibrox club are also working behind the scenes on another piece of registration business.
Inside Ibrox understands Rangers are attempting to include Japanese forward Daisuke Yokota in the squad travelling to face Jagiellonia Bialystok.
Yokota is expected to become McInnes' ninth signing of the summer, with the club keen to complete the necessary paperwork in time for the Europa League tie.
The Japan international is set to become the first Asian to represent the Light Blues, and it's happening quickly.
A medical has been booked for today, Tuesday August 4, and an announcement should follow soon after to confirm his arrival from Hannover.
Record breaking Fares Ghedjemis deal being considered
Meanwhile, Rangers continue to assess their position over another attacking target.
The club have been linked with Algerian winger Fares Ghedjemis, but his current club Frosinone reported asking price of €16 million represents a significant obstacle.
Such a fee would comfortably surpass Rangers' existing transfer record, set when the club paid around £12 million to sign Tore Andre Flo from Chelsea in 2000.
As a result, Rangers' interest in Ghedjemis has cooled slightly while the club considers whether pursuing a deal remains financially realistic as they target other players.
With Makhanya now cleared to travel and Yokota's registration still being worked on, McInnes could yet have two new faces available as Rangers look to take a positive result into the second leg of their Europa League qualifier.
