Former Rangers midfielder John Lundstram has completed a move to Leicester City on a free transfer, joining up with Russell Martin.
The 32-year-old has agreed a two-year contract at the King Power Stadium after leaving Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor, subject to league and international clearance.
Lundstram returns to English football after spending the 2025/26 season on loan at Hull City, where he made 34 appearances and helped the Tigers secure promotion to the English Premier League through the play-offs.
He now joins Leicester as they look to rebuild in League One under Martin, who was appointed the club's first-team manager in June following his departure from Rangers last October. Martin signed a three-year contract with the Foxes.
Lundstram reunites with former Rangers boss
Lundstram spent three seasons at Rangers after joining the club in July 2021.
The midfielder made more than 150 appearances for the Ibrox side, winning the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup while also playing a key role in their run to the Europa League final in 2022, scoring the winner in the semi-final against RB Leipzig.
Lundstram left the club a year before Martin arrived at Ibrox, so this is the first time their paths have crossed.
Martin has already been busy reshaping his Leicester squad for the third tier and has brought Lundstram in to add experience to his midfield.
The former Scotland international manager's Leicester side are aiming to bounce back from two relegations and begin their push back up the English football pyramid.
More than 500 senior appearances
Lundstram brings significant experience to the Leicester squad, having accumulated more than 500 senior appearances during his career.
The Liverpool-born midfielder came through Everton's academy before making his senior breakthrough during a loan spell at Doncaster Rovers.
He helped Doncaster win the League One title in the 2012/13 season before eventually joining Oxford United permanently in 2015.
Lundstram later moved to Sheffield United, making 120 appearances and helping the Blades win promotion to the Premier League in 2018/19.
After his Rangers spell, he moved to Trabzonspor in 2024 alongside Borna Barisic. His temporary move to Hull last season proved particularly successful, with Lundstram featuring 34 times as the Tigers won promotion to the Premier League.
Lundstram ready for Leicester challenge
Speaking after completing the move, Lundstram said he was delighted to begin the next chapter of his career.
"I'm delighted to be here," he told Leicester's official website. "I've played against Leicester City before and always admired them from afar.
"I'm ready for this next challenge in my career and can't wait to meet the lads, meet the fans, and get started. We all know what the goal is this season and I'm looking forward to trying to help the team achieve it."
Lundstram will now link up with his new teammates as Martin's Leicester side look to mount a promotion challenge after a rocky start.
