Bojan Miovski remains part of Derek McInnes' plans at Rangers despite fresh speculation over his future.
Supporters noticed the striker's boot area had been cleared in images released following Olwethu Makhanya's arrival at the Rangers Training Centre, prompting suggestions the North Macedonia international could be on his way out.
However, Inside Ibrox understands Miovski's equipment is stored in a separate area within the dressing room, with the change unrelated to his future at the club. While some players keep boots in dressing room area, others store theirs in rotunda area of training ground.
The 27-year-old is expected to provide important depth in attack this season as McInnes prepares to regularly deploy a front two.
While Yousef Chermiti, Ryan Nadiri and captain Lawrence Shankland are currently ahead of Miovski in the pecking order, the former Aberdeen striker remains firmly in the manager's plans.
Miovski's Ibrox spell
Miovski joined Rangers from Girona late last summer and endured a mixed first campaign at Ibrox.
The striker scored 13 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions but struggled to establish himself as a regular starter during his debut season in Glasgow.
McInnes has previously highlighted Miovski's strengths, while acknowledging the type of striker he is.
Speaking about his attacking options, the Rangers manager said:
"I think we've got strikers in Nadiri, Chermiti, Shankland and Miovski who can all finish off chances.
"Maybe only Chermiti is capable of creating an opportunity for himself.
"But Ryan, Lawrence and Bojan are very much dependent on service."
Miovski to remain at Rangers
Those comments underline why McInnes still values Miovski despite increased competition following the arrivals of Shankland and Nadiri.
The Rangers boss believes the North Macedonia international remains a reliable penalty-box finisher who can make an impact when supplied with quality service, particularly if his preferred two-striker system is used throughout the campaign.
With Rangers facing a busy domestic and European schedule, McInnes is expected to rotate his attacking options regularly, leaving Miovski with opportunities to add to his 13-goal tally from last season.
