Rangers advanced to the UCL Play-Off Round on Tuesday, defeating Viktoria Plzen 4-2 on aggregate despite putting in a less than convincing performance that seen them succumb to a 2-1 defeat on the night in Czechia. Before the Bears battle Club Brugge in their bid for Champions League qualification, they must first take on Alloa Athletic at Ibrox in the Last 16 of the Premier Sports Cup.

Russell Martin's side are in the hunt for their first domestic victory of the 25/26 season whilst the Wasps will be hoping that their impressive form from the League Cup Group Stages can fire the League One side to a momentous Ibrox upset. Following the mid-week European exploits, Martin revealed that the trio of Hamza Igamane, Thelo Aasgaard and Mikey Moore will be in the squad for the Alloa game whilst also revealing that Cyriel Dessers' injury was not as bad as first feared.

As the Light Blues begin their quest for a 29th Scottish League Cup, the Inside Ibrox Team give their predicted starting XIs for this cup clash.

I think that Russell Martin will use this cup match to ring the changes ahead of a big fortnight of games against Club Brugge, St Mirren and Celtic. I expect that Mikey Moore and Thelo Aasgaard will come in for their respective Rangers debuts whilst Max Aarons will start at LB for the Palmeiras-bound Jefte. I suspect Danilo will start up-top in place for the injured Dessers with Igamane likely to make an appearance from the bench.

Kelly, Tavernier, Souttar, Fernandez, Aarons, Rice, Raskin, Diomande, Gassama, Moore, Danilo

I expect Liam Kelly to make his first appearance of the season, with Emmanuel Fernandez getting some vital game time alongside John Souttar ahead of the trip to Paisley next week.

I expect Bailey Rice to get his opportunity to showcase his credentials this week as Martin looks to rest his main midfield man Joe Rothwell ahead of the Brugge game. Mikey Moore will make his Rangers debut in place of Oliver Antman.

Kelly, Tavernier, Djiga, Fernandez, Aarons, Rothwell, Cameron, Aasgaard, Moore, Cortes, Danilo

I expect Lyall Cameron to continue his postive start to life at Rangers by retaining his midfield starting berth alongside Joe Rothwell and Rangers debutant Thelo Aasgaard. Liam Kelly will come in as Rangers cup goalkeeper and Mikey Moore will also get his first taste of Ibrox.

Kelly, Tavernier, Djiga, Fernandez, Aarons, Raskin, Diomande, Aasgaard, Gassama, Moore, Danilo

I am unsure how Russell Martin will play this one - he could ring the changes ahead of the big fortnight of fixtures we have coming up or he could stick to his core players to continue to develop on-field partnerships.

I agree with the rest of the lads that Liam Kelly likely starts between the sticks, with Fernandez getting minutes ahead of next week and both Moore and Aasgaard making their long-awaited Rangers debuts.
