Nico Raskin says Rangers were left “very disappointed” after failing to break down Falkirk in a flat 0–0 draw at Ibrox, insisting the team must improve quickly if they are to keep moving forward under Danny Röhl.

Speaking after the stalemate, the Belgian international midfielder said the squad fully expected to take all three points but were undone by poor execution in decisive areas.

“We were here for the three points,” Raskin said.

“We arrived in some good positions, but we lacked a bit of quality in the last pass and the last decisive moment.

“That cost us today. It’s something we’re working really hard on.”

While Raskin acknowledged positives in Rangers play, he was clear that the issues in the final third continue to hold the team back.

Raskin confirmed that frustration was the dominant mood in the dressing room following full-time.

“We pushed,” he said. “We came several times into good positions where we can maybe do something better to have a good chance to score.

“But again, it’s everyone together. We need to analyse this with the manager and see what we can do better.”

Raskin stressed that the team are fully aware of the expectations on them.

The midfielder said he understood the frustration from the stands as the game drifted towards another disappointing home result.

“It’s normal,” Raskin admitted.

“They expect us to win. We expect ourselves to win. We tried to give everything. The team put in a lot of effort and running today, but we need to score.

“We’ve not been decisive enough in the last action.”

He insisted that the players know the standards required and must respond.

“We need to give much better. We’re going to analyse it and try to give our best for the next game so we can make the three points.”

Raskin said the squad continue to adapt to new manager Danny Röhl and his coaching team, with improvements beginning to show despite the disappointing result.

“There’s been some positives in the way we play,” he said.

“We’re starting to understand each other more - better positions, better link-up.

“But today is disappointing, and the result is what matters.”

With another league fixture away to Dundee United coming on Wednesday night, Raskin believes the swift turnaround is an opportunity to put things right.

“That’s football,” he said.

“You don’t like what happened in the past, so now we look forward.

“We have to go and win on Wednesday. It’s about recovering, watching the game back, seeing what we can do better, and preparing to make sure we get the three points.”
