Couhaib Driouech has explained why his proposed move to Rangers fell through, insisting he did not undergo a medical examination in Glasgow because he had just suffered an injury.
The Dutch born former Moroccan U23 international was officially presented as a Celta Vigo player on Monday after completing his move to the Spanish club.
Driouech used the opportunity to address the circumstances surrounding his failed Rangers transfer, with reports previously suggesting that concerns had emerged during his medical.

However, the 24-year-old offered a different explanation for why the move did not happen and why he was in the stands for the Gers' Europa League match with Polish side Jagiellonia Bialystok.
“I decided to go to Glasgow to experience the club and the stadium, but I didn't have the medical because I had just injured myself. That's why I didn't sign there,” Driouech explained.
The winger therefore insists that he did not fail a Rangers medical but instead did not complete the scheduled examination because of the injury he had picked up.
Driouech had travelled to Glasgow as a potential Rangers signing, but the move ultimately collapsed before he could put pen to paper.
Winger signs for Celta Vigo
He has now moved on to Celta Vigo and is keen to put the episode behind him as he begins a new chapter in Spain.
The former PSV Eindhoven player also provided an update on his fitness during his presentation, confirming that he has recovered from the injury which kept him out for around two weeks.
“I feel really good and I'm completely in shape. I'm available and ready to play,” Driouech said.
“If it were up to me, I would be in the starting lineup for the next match.
“I played a lot on the left, but also on the right at my former club. I feel more comfortable on the left wing; I think it's my best position.
“I'm a really dangerous player. One-on-one situations are one of my strengths. I like to attack spaces and receive the ball behind the defence.”
His comments provide fresh clarity on a Rangers transfer which never materialised, with Driouech now making clear that an injury prevented the scheduled medical from taking place.
The winger will instead look to make his mark in La Liga with Celta Vigo, while Rangers have moved on to other targets including former Ibrox loanee Vaclav Cerny for the wide area.
