As the festive season approaches, the Copland Collective has once again called on the generosity of the Rangers fans and local community by launching a Christmas Toy Drive in support of two local toy banks: The Community & Beyond Toy Bank and Make Do & Grow.

The initiative, which has become an important part of the group’s annual outreach, aims to deliver toys and essential items to children who might otherwise go without during the holidays.

Supporters attending the upcoming match against Braga, who have been linked with Rangers strike Yousef Chermiti, will have an opportunity to contribute directly. Volunteers from the Copland Collective will be stationed in front of the Copland gates between 7:00pm and 7:45pm, collecting brand new toys for children up to sixteen years old.

Fans are encouraged to bring along unopened toys suitable for any age group, from baby essentials and educational games to creative kits, sports equipment, books, and more.

Every donation, big or small, is welcomed with gratitude.

In addition to physical toy donations, the group will also be accepting cash contributions on the night.

These funds will go toward helping the toy banks purchase specific items they need, often age-specific gifts, sensory toys, winter essentials, or items for older children and teenagers, who are, as any parent knows, harder to buy for during charitable drives.

The flexibility provided by monetary donations allows the toy banks to ensure that no child is overlooked.

The Copland Collective stressed that even the smallest contribution can make a meaningful impact.

With families across Glasgow and the surrounding areas facing rising costs and increased financial pressure, the need for community support is greater than ever.

Toy banks rely on charitable donations to ensure children wake up on Christmas morning with something to unwrap - something that brings joy, comfort, and a sense of inclusion during what can be a difficult time for many households in the current cost-of-living crisis.

The group expressed its appreciation in advance to everyone able to support the cause, acknowledging the consistent generosity of Rangers supporters.

In past years, the fanbase has helped provide thousands of gifts to local children, reinforcing the community spirit that lies at the heart of the club.

This year’s toy drive offers another opportunity for fans to make a difference.

Whether by donating a new toy, contributing a small amount of money, or simply spreading the word, every act of kindness helps brighten a child’s Christmas.

The Copland Collective thanks supporters for their continued kindness and looks forward to a successful collection at the upcoming UEFA Europa League match against Braga at Ibrox on Thursday evening.
