Rangers' newest signing Daisuke Yokota has received an early endorsement from a player linked with a move to Ibrox.
Camilo Mena, who has been credited with Rangers interest in recent days, reacted publicly after the club unveiled Yokota as Derek McInnes' ninth signing of the summer.
Rangers confirmed the arrival of the 26-year-old Japanese winger from Hannover on Wednesday, handing him the number 17 shirt ahead of the club's Europa League qualifier against Jagiellonia Bialystok, a former club of Mena’s.
Shortly after the announcement, Mena shared Rangers' social media post.
"A top-class player has arrived in Scotland,” he wrote as he quoted it.

The Colombian's message is notable given his own links with Rangers in recent days.
Mena has previously emerged as a reported transfer target for the Ibrox club as McInnes looks to add pace and creativity to his attacking options, although no move has materialised.
Instead, Rangers opted to complete a deal for Yokota, who arrives after spells in Japan, Poland and Germany.
The winger spent a year with Gornik Zabrze before earning a move to Hannover and has now taken the next step in his career by joining the Scottish Premiership side.
Yokota also heads into Thursday's Europa League qualifier with previous experience of playing against Jagiellonia, having faced the Polish club twice during his time with Gornik.
He registered an assist on his debut against Jagiellonia despite suffering a 2-1 defeat, giving him some familiarity with Rangers' upcoming European opponents.
Yokota's arrival continues a busy summer at Ibrox, with Rangers already adding Lawrence Shankland, Ross McCrorie, Ben Godfrey, Ivor Pandur, Dan Neil, Cammy Devlin, Vanja Dragojević and Olwethu Makhanya before securing the Japanese winger's signature.
Whether Rangers revive their reported interest in Mena before the transfer window closes remains to be seen, but the Colombian's public praise for Yokota suggests he will be watching the winger's progress in Glasgow with interest.
