There have been rumblings of major overhauls within the Rangers hierarchy for months now, and it seems shareholders behind the scenes at Ibrox are finally putting plans into action.

According to reports, the Light Blues could soon secure fresh investment on the back of shareholders converting their loans into equity.

Journalist Stephen McGowan revealed in the Scottish Daily Mail that “shareholders are still converting loans to equity.

A quest to settle scores with Scottish football has alienated the very clubs they need in their corner to shift Neil Doncaster from the SPFL.”

"He added, “Where it really matters, meanwhile, defeat to Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final condemned a jaded team to a trophyless campaign. Zipping up body bags in the Blue Room will make space for new faces, possibly fresh investors.”"

There have been cries from fans and club legends alike demanding sweeping changes within the Rangers boardroom and dressing room.

After the shambolic display against bitter rivals Celtic last weekend, it seems their pleas have finally been heard. The speed at which chairs are being cleared at Ibrox hints at a determination from shareholders to overhaul the status quo and inject some much-needed life into the club.

Rangers are screaming out for innovative thinking to halt the increasing gap between themselves and Celtic on and off the pitch.

Rangers set for fresh investment boost

This summer could prove pivotal as the Light Blues look to transition into a new era full of promise and progression.

However, to achieve that, shareholders will need to provide financial backing to new manager Michael Beale so he can shape a team capable of bringing glory back to Ibrox.

The next few weeks will reveal whether the Rangers board is willing to put its money where its mouth is.

After recent events, fans will be hoping fresh investment can finally help the club rediscover its identity. The future is unclear, but winds of change are blowing through Ibrox.
