Ryan Kent’s Future at Rangers Looks Bleak according to football pundit Dean Jones, Ryan Kent’s time at Rangers seems to be coming to an end.

The 26-year-old winger, who joined the Gers initially on loan in 2018 before making the move permanent for £7.5 million
, has been an integral part of the team over the past five seasons, racking up 217 appearances and contributing to 90 goals.

However, his form has declined this season and with his contract set to expire in the summer, Jones believes “it’s the end of the road” for Kent at Ibrox.

Speaking in an interview with Give Me Sport this week, Jones said “You look at somebody like Ryan Kent, who is obviously a very talented player, but sometimes I think you can get too comfortable at a club or you just need a change of environment to spark something fresh in terms of your form.”

Although Jones had previously thought Kent would extend his stay at Rangers, he now has his doubts. “I did think he would end up staying at Rangers, but I’m starting to have doubts about that now. I think it actually might be the end of the road there,” he added.

Kent is a game-changing player renowned for his tricky stepovers and ability to dart past defenders. Even during this subpar season, he has managed 10 assists in 43 appearances.

Premier League side Leeds United, who reportedly had scouts monitoring Kent during Rangers’ Champions League match against Liverpool in October, already possess a wealth of options out wide.

The likes of Willy Gnonto, Luis Sinisterra, Jack Harrison and Crysencio Summerville would likely reduce Kent’s playing time, making a move to Elland Road seem unnecessary.

Is it the end of the road for Ryan Kent at Ibrox?

Overall, while Ryan Kent has been a key figure for Rangers over the years, his declining performances and contract situation have cast doubt over his future at the club.

A move to reignite his form may be in the cards, but a lack of necessity means a transfer to Leeds appears improbable. The coming months will determine whether Kent and Rangers can rekindle their relationship or if a parting of ways is inevitable.
