Scotland international midfielder Andy Irving is attracting growing transfer interest from clubs across Scotland, Germany, and Italy, with Rangers among those keen to secure his signature.
The West Ham midfielder, 25, is understood to be weighing up his options as the Premier League side prepare to make a decision on his future.
The midfielder is determined to play regular top-level football to bolster his chances of featuring for Scotland at next summer’s World Cup.
He made 11 appearances for West Ham last season, but is understood to be ready for a move that guarantees more game time.
Rangers have emerged as frontrunners in Scotland, with Celtic also keeping tabs on him following a late approach to West Ham at the close of last summer’s window.
Both Rangers and Celtic are keen to strengthen their squads before the transfer window closes, and Irving is viewed as a player who could make an immediate impact.

Irving’s career has taken him from Hearts, where he began his development, to Türkgücü Munich in Germany’s third tier, before flourishing at Austria Klagenfurt.
He joined West Ham in September 2023 but remained on loan in Austria, finishing the season with 14 goals and 12 assists before making the permanent move to London.
With West Ham now under Graham Potter, who begins his first full season in charge this weekend against Sunderland, Irving scored in a pre-season friendly win over Grasshoppers and featured on the team’s US tour.
Entering the final year of his contract, the Edinburgh-born midfielder is clearly eager for regular football. Rangers will hope they can convince West Ham to sanction a move and add another Scotland international to Ibrox.
Rangers are looking to expand their midfield options after a poor first two league matches in the William Hill Scottish Premiership, with only two points from six and a midfield looking bereft of creativity.
With the future of Belgian star Nico Raskin still up in the air Irving, who made his Scotland debut in the summer, may be an ideal, home-grown option in the centre of the park.
