Former Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara says QPR's ambition and the opportunity to return home to London convinced him to join the Championship club on a season-long loan.
The Finland international completed his temporary move this week, ending speculation over his immediate future as he looks to play regular football during the 2026/27 campaign.
Kamara spent four-and-a-half successful years at Rangers after joining from Dundee in January 2019, winning the Scottish Premiership title and Scottish Cup before moving to Rennes in 2023, also appearing in the 2022 Europa League final in Seville.
After loan spells elsewhere, he will now continue his career back in England with QPR.

Speaking for the first time since completing the move, Kamara admitted returning to West London carried special significance.
"I'm excited to be at QPR," he said.
"I'm looking forward to it. Obviously, being from West London myself, and right now we're at Westway where I used to play a lot of my football growing up.
"I'm just delighted to get it done."
The midfielder also revealed the chance to reunite with head coach Julien Stephan played an important role in his decision.
Stéphan signed Kamara during his spell at Rennes before leaving the French club shortly afterwards.
"He brought me in at Rennes a couple of years ago," Kamara explained.
"We didn't work together for that long because he ended up leaving, but I'm looking forward to working with him again.
"I know what kind of coach he is and hopefully he can get the best out of me."
A return to the Championship
Kamara believes his previous Championship experience with Leeds United will also help him settle quickly.
Although Leeds narrowly missed out on promotion during his previous spell in the division, the 30-year-old believes QPR have the quality to challenge near the top of the table.
"When I spoke to the CEO, he only had good things to say about the project and really sold it to me," Kamara said.
"I believe we can hopefully get into the top eight and that's the push. That's what we want to do."
The former Rangers midfielder also described the type of player supporters can expect to see.
"I'm a player who likes to get on the ball, dictate play, make short, fast passes and find the players who can affect the game the most.
"I just try to dictate the game as much as I can."
Kamara also joked that he has unfinished business at Loftus Road after suffering a heavy defeat there with Leeds.
"I've got no good memories there yet because we lost 4-0 when I played for Leeds," he laughed.
"So hopefully I can have better memories for myself and the team."
Kamara made more than 190 appearances for Rangers during one of the most successful periods of his career, establishing himself as a key figure under Steven Gerrard before departing for France in the summer of 2023.
He will now hope to rediscover that form as QPR push for promotion back to the Premier League.
