Rangers have confirmed the appointment of Brian Gilmour as the club's Interim Academy Director following the departure of David McCallum.
The Ibrox club announced the changes on Tuesday afternoon, with Gilmour taking over responsibility for the academy after serving in a number of coaching and player development roles since returning to Rangers in 2017.
A former academy player himself, Gilmour has developed a detailed understanding of the club's youth pathway, working across multiple age groups and departments during his second spell at Ibrox.
In confirming the appointment, Rangers highlighted his experience throughout the academy structure and his knowledge of the player pathway from youth football into the senior squad.

The appointment follows the departure of McCallum, who leaves the club after 11 years of service.
Rangers thanked the outgoing academy chief for his contribution over more than a decade and wished him well for the future.
While McCallum is best known for his work overseeing youth development, he also briefly stepped into the first-team spotlight during one of the most significant moments in the club's recent history.
Following Steven Gerrard's departure for Aston Villa in November 2021, McCallum was placed in interim charge of Rangers for the Scottish League Cup semi-final against Hibernian at Hampden Park alongside other coaches and then-striker Jermain Defoe, while the club searched for a permanent successor.
Rangers were beaten 3-1 by Hibs in what proved to be McCallum's only match in charge of the senior side before Giovanni van Bronckhorst was appointed as manager.
Despite that brief spell with the first team, McCallum's lasting contribution came behind the scenes, where he spent more than a decade helping shape Rangers' academy structure and the development of young players.
Rangers search for permanent replacement
Gilmour now takes over on an interim basis as Rangers continue to invest in their youth system alongside Derek McInnes' rebuilding of the first-team squad as the club searches for a permanent replacement for McCallum.
The former midfielder will oversee the next stage of the academy's development, with one of the club's key objectives remaining the progression of homegrown talent into the senior setup.
His appointment ensures continuity within the academy, having already spent almost a decade working across the Rangers youth system and gaining experience at every level of the player development pathway.
