The Champions League journey continues tonight for Rangers and it’s a case of deja vu as, for the second year in a row, PSV stand between them and a place in the group stages.

Last season’s first leg tie saw the Dutch outfit come away with a 2-2 draw after goals in either half from Antonio Colak and Tom Lawrence.

Neither of the goalscorers that night will get the chance to repeat the feat this year, with Colak departed and Lawrence not in the European squad as he continues his recovery from injury, so it will be up to Michael Beale’s new signings to give the home side an advantage ahead of the trip to Holland next week.

Two of those have good historical track records scoring against PSV in the form of Cyriel Dessers and Danilo, and after also making game changing goal scoring impacts against Greenock Morton on Saturday, both look to have done enough to get the nod to lead the line in this one for Rangers over the likes of Abdallah Sima and Sam Lammers.

The addition of Rabbi Matondo to the European matchday squad may also see him retain his place after a recent uptick in form, whilst the likes of James Tavernier, John Souttar and Ryan Jack come back into contention after being rested at the weekend.

Either way, the Inside Ibrox team are close to unanimous over which 11 they think Beale will go with for Rangers vs PSV.
