Rangers welcome Greenock Morton to Ibrox this weekend in the second round of the Scottish League Cup.

The home side made it all the way to the final of the competition last season, coming up just short in the end to Celtic.

It represented a major missed opportunity for Michael Beale, with his midfield selection that day slated by several as the Celtic team broke them through like a knife with butter that day.

So this season, he will be looking to make amends and get his first piece of silverware as Rangers manager, and he arguably couldn’t have picked a better first tie in the competition facing the team who finished 5th in the Scottish Championship last season.

This will likely mean some rotation will be made to the starting 11 with a packed start to the campaign already just two weeks in, or Beale can use it as another opportunity to let his new signings gel together with PSV on the horizon.

So here is the Inside Ibrox team’s predicted line up for Rangers vs Morton.
