Ianis Hagi has emphatically shut down speculation surrounding an imminent departure from Rangers.

The 24-year-old Romanian ace pledged his allegiance to the Ibrox outfit and says he is solely focused on helping the Gers finish the season strongly.

Hagi recently returned to action after 12 agonising months on the sidelines nursing a horrific knee injury.

Though still building up his match fitness, the playmaker has featured as a substitute in Rangers’ last few games under Michael Beale’s guidance.

Hagi’s performances have caught the eye of several European clubs, with Spanish side Celta Vigo and Turkish powerhouses Galatasaray rumoured to be courting the midfielder.

However, Hagi asserts he is blissfully unaware of any potential transfer and is devoted to doing his utmost for the Light Blues.

“The only thing I can control is what I do every day. I love being at this football club. I love the fans so much, as they probably know,” Hagi passionately proclaimed.

The Romanian wizard also vowed to have a “really strong off-season” to ensure he is firing on all cylinders for Rangers’ Champions League qualifiers.

“I’ve signed for Rangers and committed my future to the club in December by signing a contract extension. What else can I say? It’s just noise that I can’t control,” Hagi affirmed.

“I’m committed to getting back to full fitness as soon as possible so I can play for this club as much as possible. Pulling that shirt on and playing minutes for Rangers. That’s what makes me happy.”

Hagi’s unequivocal statement will come as music to the ears of Rangers supporters worried about losing one of their most gifted talents.

The playmaker seems hellbent on becoming a mainstay in Beale’s starting eleven next season as the Gers aim to wrestle the Premiership title back from Celtic.
