Rangers fans were keen observers of Manchester City’s Champions League drubbing of Bayern Munich, as the club awaits a decision on Malik Tillman’s future.

The 20-year-old American is on loan at Rangers, who have an option to make the deal permanent.

Manager Michael Beale has frequently expressed a desire to sign Tillman permanently when the transfer window opens this summer.

Tillman has had a solid debut season at Rangers, scoring 12 goals and assisting five more, a better return than £7 million signing Ryan Kent.

While Rangers fans largely favor securing Tillman’s signature, developments at Bayern Munich have introduced some uncertainty.

The Bundesliga champions recently replaced manager Julian Nagelsmann with Thomas Tuchel, who will attempt to steer the club to another domestic title.

However, Bayern were the latest victims of Manchester City and goal-scoring phenomenon Erling Haaland in the Champions League. Haaland scored the final goal in a 3-0 win, adding to earlier goals from Rodri and Bernardo Silva.

The loss leaves Bayern’s Champions League hopes hanging by a thread and speculation is swirling over potential summer departures.

Rangers Fans Hope for Tillman’s Permanent Signing

Reports suggest the futures of Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry could determine Tillman’s place in Tuchel’s plans, concerning news for Rangers.

There are fears Tuchel will evaluate his entire squad during preseason, leaving Rangers in limbo during Champions League qualifiers.

That is why so many Rangers fans hope to finalize a reported £5 million move for Malik Tillman quickly.

Recent reports indicate Bayern would consent to Tillman’s transfer, though Tuchel’s appointment complicates matters. Rangers fans can only watch and wait, hoping their club secures a key part of this season’s success.
