Rangers suffer 3-2 defeat to Celtic in Old Firm match with controversy over disallowed goal and Ally McCoist’s criticism of match officials, while James Tavernier achieves a milestone.

It pains me to say that the Old Firm clash against Celtic did not go our way. The game ended in a 3-2 defeat, with Celtic’s Furuhashi scoring a brace and Jota adding another goal. The first half was dominated by the home team, but we managed to make it an even contest in the second half.

The match was not without controversy, however. Alfredo Morelos had a goal disallowed, and our former star player, Ally McCoist, didn’t hold back in his criticism of the match officials. McCoist slammed the decision, arguing that Morelos’ push on Alastair Johnston was not enough to warrant a foul. He went on to criticize the VAR, calling it “embarrassing” and making us “a laughing stock.”

How many goals has James Tavernier scored for Rangers?

Despite the defeat, we can take solace in the fact that our captain, James Tavernier, scored his 100th goal for the club. It’s an incredible achievement, and one that every player dreams of. It’s a testament to his skill and dedication to the team.

As Rangers fans, we know that these games are more than just a game. They’re a chance for us to come together and support our beloved club, to feel the exhilaration of a win and the heartbreak of a defeat.

While we may not have come out on top this time, we can hold our heads high and look forward to the next opportunity to show our support and passion for the team.

More from Alfredo Morelos

In conclusion, while the loss may sting, we must remember to focus on the positives and celebrate the achievements of our players.

We’ll continue to support our team through thick and thin, and look forward to the next opportunity for Rangers to shine.

As for the controversy surrounding the match officials and VAR, we know that mistakes can happen, but we trust in our team’s resilience and determination to come back stronger.
