Ryan Jack has finally gotten a well-deserved call-up to the Scotland National team.
It’s the international break, so there isn’t a ton of Rangers related things to talk about other than the addition of Ryan Kent, but the squad did get one bit of good news. Midfielder stalwart Ryan Jack got a call-up to the Scottish National team that has been a long time coming.
Jack is off to an excellent start to the season for Rangers after a solid one last season, though he has really cemented himself as an integral member of this seasons Rangers squad in a way that he even didn’t last season.
His consistency in the midfield has been excellent, his combination of defensive effort, strength, and intelligence on the ball is everything you would want from a modern midfielder and he will also bring versatility to the Scottish National Team by also being capable of playing in the defense as well.
The call-up is one that Rangers fans have been asking for, for some time and it finally happening is a great testament to the work that Jack has done in the Rangers engine room this season. Hopefully, he is able to earn similar respect for his work in the Scottish midfield now as well.
Jack joins a number of other Rangers players who have been called up to their national squads and it shows the continued growth of the team that Steven Gerrard has assembled.
Scotland is competing to qualify for the European Championships.
